According to data from the Department of Lands and Surveys, July saw the submission of 1,667 sales documents across Cyprus, compared to 1,362 in the same month last year, marking a 22% increase.
This significant rise has reversed the overall year-to-date trend. From January to July, the number of sales documents reached 9,210, slightly up from 9,051 during the same period last year, recording a marginal increase of 2%.
Limassol remains the leader, showing substantial recovery compared to previous months, while Nicosia continues to demonstrate high performance.
Nicosia: In July, Nicosia recorded 310 sales compared to 260 in the same month last year, an increase of 19%. From January to July, total sales rose to 2,072, up from 1,676 in the first seven months of 2023, a 24% increase.
Limassol: July sales in Limassol reached 562, up from 429 last year, marking a 29% rise. However, this growth was not enough to offset the annual figures, with sales in the first seven months totaling 2,953 compared to 3,105 in the same period of 2023, a decrease of 5%.
Larnaca: Property sales in Larnaca reached 418 in July, compared to 326 last year, a 28% increase. From January to July, total sales climbed to 1,994, up from 1,777 in the same period last year, a 12% increase.
Paphos: In Paphos, July property sales were 294, up from 286 in July 2023, an increase of 3%. However, from January to July, sales fell to 1,790 compared to 2,062 in the same period last year, a 14% decrease.
Free Famagusta: In the free Famagusta area, property sales in July were 83, compared to 61 in the same month last year. For the first seven months, sales reached 411, down from 431 in the January-July 2023 period, a 5% decrease.
