The Cyprus real estate sector sustained impressive growth during the first seven months of 2026, with sales contracts up by 14% compared to the same period last year. Official data from the Department of Lands and Surveys reveals a strong appetite for properties across both residential and commercial categories on the island.
Between January and July 2026, a total of 12,047 sales contracts were registered, surpassing the 10,561 recorded in the first seven months of 2025. This widespread increase highlights Cyprus’s broad real estate appeal, with every district experiencing growth.
Limassol continues to dominate the property scene, tallying 3,959 contracts—a noteworthy 20% rise from 3,304 in the previous year. Its dynamic market attracts buyers seeking everything from luxury villas to commercial spaces, underlining its status as the island’s top hotspot.
Nicosia saw a moderate 5% increase with 2,564 contracts, while Larnaca posted an 11% growth, reaching 2,599 sales. Paphos experienced a substantial boost with a 20% rise to 2,387 contracts, accompanied by Famagusta’s 10% uptick to 538 contracts.
July alone registered 2,040 contracts, marking an 11% year-on-year increase. Limassol led July activity with a 20% jump in sales (695 contracts), followed closely by Paphos at +15%. Larnaca’s market remains healthy with a 10% growth pace, while Nicosia stayed stable. Famagusta was the sole district to see a minor dip, falling 3%.
Despite global economic uncertainties, Cyprus’s property market shows resilience, bolstered by strong district-level performances. Limassol’s continued appeal alongside steady gains in regions such as Larnaca and Paphos suggests the market is well-positioned for a robust finish to 2026.
