we focus on the environmental aspect of construction.

The use of Swedish and Finnish timber as our main building material means that our homes are fully ecological. This is because by replacing conventional materials with timber, carbon dioxide emissions are reduced by 1.1 tons. Our environmental impact is further enhanced through our collaboration with the factories that produce Swedish and Finnish timber, which plant 3 to 5 new saplings for every tree cut, thus reducing their carbon footprint to zero.

In addition, our homes are bioclimatic, which means that openings, shading systems, orientation and mechanical equipment all contribute to creating indoor climate conditions that help conserve energy for heating, cooling, and lighting.

All of the above, in combination with the thermal permeability of our masonry (which can even reach 0.11 W/m2K and achieves a reduction in energy consumption of 75%-80%, compared to conventional masonry) act as proof as to why Kofinas homes have already received an ‘A’ classification in energy efficiency!
